Cherries and pear blossoms finally greeted us this weekend! Tomatoes are planted and baby robins are leaving their nests. There is nothing more energizing that a new spring. Full of hope and new life.

At last. The color green.

It has been a long winter. Welcome spring sunsets and green lawns.

Morning Visitor.

On our rare, sunny mornings so far this spring, this beautiful little dove has greeted me from a warm spot on the northeast corner of our porch railing. I sit peacefully and greet him back.

During our recent cold snap, the Forsythia bushes have been the ray of sunshine that reminds us of the promise that warmer days are ahead.

How can something so beautiful bring such ugly? Thankfully, the snow never arrived. Just the cold wind to remind us to NEVER think you are safely into Spring...especially in Michigan.

Now It's Official!

When the robins arrive in Michigan, you can officially declare it Spring.
The blackbirds and starlings arrived almost the exact day of the calendar, but the robins took their time.
"Our" robins arrived back sometime Sunday. Looking plump and content.
Soon the chickadees and bluejays will follow and...


Oohh, myy, gawd....


I am talking about birds....


It is NOW official....

I am F***IN' OLD!!!!

Spring Sunset
